Dr. Mohaisen is invited as a publicity chair to IEEE PAC 2017

Dr. Mohaisen has been invited to serve on the organizing committee of IEEE PAC 2017m as a publicity co-chair.

The IEEE Symposium on Privacy-Aware Computing (IEEE PAC) brings together experts from academia, government, and industry to present and discuss recent advances and new perspectives on related research and development in privacy-aware computing. We invite original theoretical contributions as well as system implementation/experimentation works on all topics related to “making computing privacy-aware” for privacy protection. Particularly, IEEE PAC solicits unpublished results in privacy threats and vulnerabilities of emerging applications for various computing platforms (mobile, IoT, cloud, social network, etc.), privacy-aware algorithms for big data analytics and networking, novel methodologies for privacy-protection (modern cryptography, game theory, etc.), policies for privacy-aware computing, etc.

This will be the first year of IEEE PAC 2017, and will be held in Washington DC from August 1 to August 3, 2017. The call for paper is here, and the deadline is March 31, 2017. Consider submitting your best work.

Dr. Mohaisen is organizing HotPost 2017, with IEEE ICDCS 2017

Dr. Mohaisen will organize The 9th International Workshop on Hot Topics in Planet-¬≠Scale Mobile Computing and Online Social Networking (HotPOST’17), to be held in conjunction with IEEE ICDCS 2017, in Atlanta, GA, USA on June 5, 2017. The workshop is organized with the goal to bring researchers working on the intersection of mobile computing and OSN together to present and discuss their latest research results and ideas, thereby promoting the development and evolution of this area. All submissions on mobile platforms and OSNs related to architecture, design, simulation, implementation, modeling, analysis, algorithm, and measurement are welcomed.
